The pigeons are cool, a rather unsettling Escher vibe. 🙂
Also, this is where Blackthistle comes from because that is what the center design looks like to me. Is it a pigeon nest? I just realized that makes way more sense… anyhow. Is a cool design.

As it turns out I was trying for unsettling, so that’s good. It’s a palm tree in actual fact so, yes, the composition would really only make sense to me. And it’s a bit odd but now that you mention it, I’ve always pictured Blackthistle as looking a great deal like this.
